Year 12 · TCE / Health Studies
Prepare for a tutoring lesson.
Choose a realistic goal for a session.
Try this with Health Studies
- Pick one topic and bring a question, an attempted answer or a short section of your notes.
- Write a goal you can check at the end, such as explaining a method or improving a response.
- Choose one independent follow-up task to try after working through the example.
Pick a starting point
- Defining health: the WHO definition, other definitions, and using health indicators to assess the health status of populations
- Dimensions and determinants: physical, social, mental/emotional and spiritual health and how the physical, socio-cultural and political environments interrelate
- Health promotion, health literacy and health issues: how something becomes a health issue and the social justice principles of equity, diversity and supportive environments
- Risk taking defined: positive and negative risk, why young people take risks and the impact on personal health and wellbeing
- Leading risk-taking behaviours of young people: the supporting data and how community perceptions shape behaviour
- Risk reduction: effective strategies and the personal skills young people need to manage risk and maintain personal and group safety
Plan a sample lesson
Choose one inventory topic and a goal. This plan stays in your browser until you download it; it is not sent to a tutor.
Resource inventory inspected 4 November 2026. The main ATARMAXXING study platform is separate from tutoring. Topic labels show what was found, not a guarantee of complete curriculum coverage or tutor availability.
