Year 12 · WACE / Visual Arts
Prepare for a tutoring lesson.
Choose a realistic goal for a session.
Try this with Visual Arts
- Pick one topic and bring a question, an attempted answer or a short section of your notes.
- Write a goal you can check at the end, such as explaining a method or improving a response.
- Choose one independent follow-up task to try after working through the example.
Pick a starting point
- The seven elements of art: analysing line, colour, shape, texture, space, value and form
- The principles of art: balance, emphasis, contrast, unity, variety, repetition, proportion, scale and movement
- Section One short answers: explaining how an element or principle is utilised
- Art terminology for media, techniques and art forms in 2D, 3D and time-based work
- Formal organisation (composition): viewpoint, space, depth, focal point and visual pathways
- Critical analysis frameworks: STICI, Taylor, Feldman and the Four Frames
Plan a sample lesson
Choose one inventory topic and a goal. This plan stays in your browser until you download it; it is not sent to a tutor.
Resource inventory inspected 4 November 2026. The main ATARMAXXING study platform is separate from tutoring. Topic labels show what was found, not a guarantee of complete curriculum coverage or tutor availability.
