Year 12 · WACE / Geography
Prepare for a tutoring lesson.
Choose a realistic goal for a session.
Try this with Geography
- Pick one topic and bring a question, an attempted answer or a short section of your notes.
- Write a goal you can check at the end, such as explaining a method or improving a response.
- Choose one independent follow-up task to try after working through the example.
Pick a starting point
- Map scale: converting formats and calculating distance, area and travel time
- Position and direction: area and grid references, latitude/longitude in degrees and minutes, bearings
- Relief: contours, landforms, slope shape, average gradient and cross-sections
- Annotated sketch maps, site and situation, and spatial patterns and relationships
- Aerial, ground-level and satellite images: direction, scale comparison and change over time
- Reading Broadsheet data: descriptive statistics, boxplots, graphs, statistical maps and correlation
Plan a sample lesson
Choose one inventory topic and a goal. This plan stays in your browser until you download it; it is not sent to a tutor.
Resource inventory inspected 4 November 2026. The main ATARMAXXING study platform is separate from tutoring. Topic labels show what was found, not a guarantee of complete curriculum coverage or tutor availability.
